The Body of CHRIST should never be involved in Politics ???

Some of you may be thinking that the “Church” or the “Body of CHRIST” shouldn’t be involved in politics.  Allow me to clarify a few things.  I’ll begin by defining the word politics.  There are two parts to the definition;  the first part is…The art and science of the government of a state, public affairs or public life as they relate to the opinions, principles or policies by which a person orders his participation in such affairs. The principle element is of course government. As CHRIST-ians we understand that GOD is the Source of all Governmental Authority.

Romans 13:1 Amp.

“Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities.  For there is no authority except from GOD by HIS Permission, HIS Sanction, and those that exist do so by GOD’s Appointment.”

1Timothy 6:14-16 CJB

“To obey your commission spotlessly and irreproachably until our LORD YESHUA appears. –  HIS Appearing will be brought about in it’s own time and by the Blessed and Sole SOVEREIGN, WHO is KING of kings and LORD of lords, –  WHO alone is immortal, WHO dwells in unapproachable light that no human being has ever seen or can see — to HIM be honor and eternal Power(Government).  Amen.”

Isaiah 9:6-7

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a SON is given: and the Government shall be upon HIS Shoulder: and HIS Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty GOD, The everlasting FATHER, the PRINCE of Peace. –  Of the increase of HIS Government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.  The Zeal of the LORD of Hosts will perform this.”

So then, no governmental authority even exists without or apart from GOD. GOD and GOD alone is the only SOVEREIGN, which means that GOD is unlimited and absolute POWER, having undisputed right and ability to make decisions and act accordingly. Additionally, when speaking of CHRIST, GOD has declared that HIS Government shall rest upon HIS shoulder… on the shoulder of CHRIST. My brothers and sisters, we are the Body of CHRIST. Therefore, Divine Government rests upon us, the Body of CHRIST.  Please notice the fact that at the same time in which Divine Government is understood to be unlimited and absolute;  the WORD of GOD establishes that (even so) it shall be ever increasing, and that without end.  This is the Government that we exercise and it’s success is a result of the activity of the Zeal of the LORD of Hosts.

The second part of the definition of the word  ’politics’  is… scheming and maneuvering. The sad reality in this country is that, scheming and maneuvering has been the bulk of our experience with our government officials.  Which is of course, the pitiful result of mans’ attempt to govern without GOD.  I’m afraid this has given too many the wrong impression that, all there is to  ’politics’  is scheming and maneuvering.  But, that is a false impression.  Politics is about government and all true government originates in and emanates from GOD.  If it will be of help to you; ignore the word politics and instead embrace the word govern. As Children of GOD we must govern.

Proverbs 29:2

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

Now the Hebrew word that was translated  ’zeal’  is defined as ardent~burning. It speaks of passion and fervor;  so then the  ’Zeal of the LORD of Hosts’  is the passionate, ardent, burning of GOD in us:  which excites us, emboldens us and drives us to do those things which most please HIM.  Those things that are outside of our comfort zone, beyond our perceived limitations and over and above every conceivable constraint.

In order for us to fully grasp the precept of  ‘the Zeal of the LORD of Hosts’ it is essential for us to adopt the word ‘activism’.  Activism is the practice of militant action.  The word militant means to be aggressive in support of a cause.

Consequently, for American CHRIST-ians to engage in activism means that we practice the action of aggressive support of the cause of CHRIST in this country. We are unified,we are persistent, we are tenacious, we are aggressive, we are absolutely successful and completely victorious in reestablishing the widespread public recognition of the Authority of GOD. The guarantee that we have,  is the Zeal of the LORD of Hosts. YES,  Child of GOD…..ACTIVISM.
